Silvervine

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 48 feet (14.6 meters) and growing as high as 103 feet (31.4 meters).

It takes 14 months for the silver stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are rough and woody.

The perforated, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) in length. They are solid subtle yellow or amber, with purple dots, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the bine produces clusters of small lilac flowers.
