Violet

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large fruit tree grows up to 30 feet (9.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 54 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, slanted trunk covered in fine, smooth, dark green bark, and inside, the very light wood is brown.

The branches are long and thin and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, 8 pointed leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either subtle yellow, or orange with purple edges.

In early spring, it produces clusters of large, violet blossoms with long, narrow petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like baby powder.

In early winter it produces tiny, long, narrow fruit. The waxy pink skin is thick and inedible, and the very soft orange flesh is spicy and sticky. The white seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
