Silverwind Grass

This short, silver grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very narrow and elongated stalks grow in small clumps that are strong and tough.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, lilac tuft.

During the early winter, it produces copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.
