Pineleaf

This large shrub grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for around 32 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has several flexible, straight stems covered in rough, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is pale brown-grey.

The branches are short, thin and wispy with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of huge, wispy, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of yellow-green that gradient shifts to red at the top, hardy and leathery.

It produces lots of small, cream flowers with cylindrical petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like fermented fruit. In late spring it forms giantdark brown, spiky-shelled seeds.
