Orange-Yellow Petal Flower

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow or dark brown stems grow in bunches of 6 and are very thin and straight, and the giant, orange-yellow leaves are very narrow and elongated with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 29 cm (11.4 inches) wide, with alternating petals of pink and white, with a violet central disk. The flower head is largely flat with 20 tightly layered round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like old books, and it has lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
