Aquamarine

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 44 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many very thick, straight stems covered in paper-thin, ridged, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches trail down across the ground that and are covered with small bunches of tiny, very thin, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are blood red and aquamarine, flimsy and clammy.

In late summer it produces dozens of large, blue flowers with triangular petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have the faintest scent that smells like cinnamon.
