Copperneedle

This small cactus grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 2 needle-like stems. Each stem is copper, and is covered in many fine, muted yellow, hair-like spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with alternating petals of pink and white, with a violet central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like onion.

The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the cyan flesh is smooth, and the lime sap is thin.
