Goldenleaf

This big shrub grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 149 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several branched, wonky stems covered in thin, ridged, light brown bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches trail down to the ground that and are covered with very large amounts of large, thick, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are hazel at the bottom and gold with cream zig-zags at the top, resilient and leathery.

In late summer it produces dozens of small, lilac flowers with 8 heart-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a fairly strong scent that smells like baby powder.
