Bloodthorn Succulent

This small caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The spear shaped stem is blood red, and is covered in large amounts of rigid muted yellow spines. The angular, blood red trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter at the bottom. Its pink-red branches are tall, rigid and upright and start growing halfway up the stem.

The copious amounts of smooth-edged, fan-like leaves are dark brown with violet tips. They are durable, but detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid amber petals and a light brown central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like a man.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the vibrant blue flesh is sticky, and the azure sap is thin.
