Copper

This small caudiciform grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The thin stem is copper, and is covered in handfuls of rigid yellow spines. It has a slanted, slender, yellow trunk atop a narrow ball of wrinkled, exposed roots. The branches are thin and pink-red and are short, rigid and upright.

The smooth-edged, fan-like leaves are lime on the sides and amber at the center. They are strong, but take some effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid grey petals and a gentle orange central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is made up of 32 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. It has a strong scent that smells like rotten meat.

The caudiciform's skin is delicate, the ashy green flesh is soft, and the white sap is thin.
