Silverbark
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 42 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has several branched, wavy stems covered in paper-thin, silky, silver and white bark, and the wood inside is gray.
The branches are short and slender with thousands of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of small, perforated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid purple or slate, with pink streaks, hardy and sticky.
In early spring it produces lots of small, cyan flowers with oblong shaped petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like warm milk.
It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
