Winding Willow

This enormous tree grows up to 149 meters (488.9 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 138 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, wonky trunk covered in hard, cracked, brown-green bark, and inside, the dense wood is yellow.

The branches are short and slender and are covered with small bunches of fuzzy, miniature, circular leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are emerald with olive tips.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, washed-out green, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
