Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This big flower grows up to 2.3 feet (71 cm) tall. Its red stem is wispy and splits into 6 branching stems halfway up, and the tiny, copper leaves are spear shaped with irregular edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Each stem splits 4 to 6 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 51 cm (20.1 inches) wide, with cyan petals and a beige central disk. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They fall easily.
It has a strong scent that smells like pot-purri, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
