Purple Majesty

This short caudiciform grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is florescent green or green, and is covered in copious amounts of flexible silver spines. The wide, light grey trunk can grow to as much as 10 feet (3.0 meters) in diameter. Its yellow branches are very short, thin and wispy.

The wavy-edged, wispy leaves are generally faded purple. They are light, but take little effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with pale orange petals that gradient shift to lilac on the outer edge. The central disk is green, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has an intense scent that smells like leather.

The caudiciform's skin is tough, the cyan flesh is rough, and the crimson sap is thin.
