Red Emerald Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In damp forests, and In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is very durable.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
