Garlic Blue

This small flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its lime green stems grow in bunches of 7 and are thin and straight, and the small, gray leaves are circular with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Two tiny flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with alternating petals of vivid blue and intense yellow, with a blood red central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 24 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has a strong scent that smells like garlic, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
