Gray Spine Cactus

This large cactus grows up to 97 feet (29.6 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is gray, and is covered in dozens of rigid grey spines.

It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with yellow petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has a delicate scent that smells like coconut.

The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the light grey flesh is rubbery, and the turquoise sap is thin.
