Yellowridge Succulent

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 39 feet (11.9 meters) tall. The thin stem is moss green and olive, and is covered in thick sheets of flexible brown spines. It has a wonky, thin, beige trunk atop a wide clump of ridged, exposed roots. The branches are flat and brown and trail down towards the ground.

The wavy-edged, long, narrow leaves are a shade of yellow-green that gradient shifts to bold red at the top. They are resilient, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with yellow petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is largely flat with 18 widely spaced narrow petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like fish.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the intense yellow flesh is rough, and the hazel sap is thin.
