Grey Moss

This grey or yellow moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In bogs, In heathlands, and On rotten logs.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very tough.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores.
