Bloodfire

This big cactus grows up to 99 feet (30.2 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is red, and is covered in hundreds of flexible blood red spines.

It is slow growing, taking 18 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are bright blue at the sides and purple at the center, grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like rotten meat.

The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the bright blue flesh is slimy, and the cyan sap is thin.
