Bluebell

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is thick, and the tiny, hazel or light grey leaves are sickle shaped with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Around 70 small flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 9 cm (3.5 inches) wide, with petals that are bright blue at the sides and purple at the center. The flower head is made up of 28 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. They are very delicate.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like pineapple, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also particularly attractive to insects.
