Emerald Flower

This large flower grows up to 3.6 feet (1.1 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is wispy and splits into several branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the giant, emerald leaves are dark bright green and green on the underside and are wispy with ripped edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

2 to 7 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 42 cm (16.5 inches) wide, with petals that are dark green on the edges and beige at the center. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. They are sturdy.

It has a strong scent that smells like cheese, and it has very little pollen, but can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a small species of bird.
