Burgundy Vine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters) and growing as high as 49 feet (14.9 meters).
It takes 7 months for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are hard and brittle.
The finger-like, smooth leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are indigo on the sides and caramel at the center, and have serrated edges.
During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of large amber flowers.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
