Magenta

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big fruit tree grows up to 31 feet (9.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 37 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in fine, ridged, brown-green bark, and inside, the soft wood is mahogany-coloured.

The sparse amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with small amounts of small, needle-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in magenta, cyan and brilliant yellow varieties.

In early spring, it produces bunches of small, dark grey blossoms with wide petals. They are hardy and have a strong scent that smells like cherry.

In late summer it produces , asymmetrical fruit. The hairy green skin is peel-able and inedible, and the very soft light blue flesh is bitter and dry. The yellow seed is very large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
