Light Blue Ribbonfruit
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This giant fruit tree grows up to 53 feet (16.2 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 52 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a knobbly, straight trunk covered in silky, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is white.
The abundance of branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of huge, perforated leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are found in light blue and light blue varieties.
In early spring, it produces hundreds of medium-sized, purple blossoms with circular shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a soft scent that smells like a newborn baby.
In early summer it produces , broad, flat fruit. The sticky peach skin is tough and savoury, and the crunchy light blue flesh is spicy and syrupy. The bronze seed is large and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
