Lilac?

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This giant fruit tree grows up to 48 feet (14.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 34 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a thick, wonky trunk covered in cracked, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is white.

The excessive amount of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of tiny, wide leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are generally lilac.

In early spring, it produces a handful of large, gold blossoms with heart-shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like honeysuckle.

In early autumn it produces tiny, long, narrow fruit. The clammy lime skin is delicate and inedible, and the very soft orange flesh is sour and dry. The pale orange seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
