Yellowwood

This average-sized tree grows up to 55 meters (180.5 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2544 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, slanted trunk covered in thick, silky, yellow bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale brown-grey.

The sparse amount of branches are very short and slender, covered with very large amounts of giant, yellow-green needles. The needles themselves are delicate.

In late summer it produces small, light brown, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
