Pink Puffgrass

Grass type: Perennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short, pink-red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The sickle shaped stalks grow in extensive patches that are strong.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, pink puff.

During the late summer, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.

It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
The sap is edible and very bitter.
