Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) tall. Its green or beige stem is very thin, and the huge, green leaves are long, narrow with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.
Two small flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with solid green petals and a dark orange central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. They fall easily.
It has a delicate scent that smells like musk, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
