Silverfern

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This large tree grows up to 84 meters (275.6 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in smooth, silver and white bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is white with black speckles.

The sparse amount of branches are short, rigid and upright, with hundreds of twigs covered with small bunches of small, green needles. The needles themselves are robust.

In late summer it produces small, gold, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.


Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
