Silverfern

This silver moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is overwhelmingly delicate.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores.
