Duskspire Bush
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This enormous shrub grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 126 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has numerous flexible, straight stems covered in thick, knobbly, brown and grey bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.
The branches are short, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of large, circular, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either aquamarine or blue, with blood red dots, frail and sticky.
It produces handfuls of small, purple flowers with umbrella-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a strong scent that smells like rotting meat. In late autumn it forms medium-sizedbeige, spiky-shelled seeds.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
