Burgundy Spore Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In marshes, and In rainforests.
It is giant, growing up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely flexible.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
