Yellowfern

This huge caudiciform grows up to 178 feet (54.3 meters) tall. The pleated stem is yellow-green, and is covered in brittle vivid yellow spines. The stocky, hazel trunk can grow to as much as 178 feet (54.3 meters) in diameter. Its slate and green branches are short stubs.

The jagged-edged, sickle shaped leaves are found in aquamarine and amber varieties. They are sturdy, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid cyan petals and a gold central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like coffee.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the pink flesh is smooth, and the magenta sap is thin.
