Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This modest-sized cactus grows up to 26 feet (7.9 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 2 very thick stems. Each stem is moss green, and is covered in large amounts of flexible blood red spines. The spherical body is burgundy, and is covered in large amounts of flexible blood red spines.
It is very slow growing, taking 33 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with each petal a slightly different shade of purple grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a heart made up of 5 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like coffee.
The cactus's skin is very thick, the purple flesh is sticky, and the white sap is thin.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
