Silverwood

This large tree grows up to 75 meters (246.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 562 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a thick, twisting trunk covered in wrinkled, silver and white bark, and inside, the very dense wood is burgundy.

The branches are very long and slender and are covered with handfuls of rough, large, 4 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are gentle green with pink tips.

In early spring, it produces a handful of tiny, bright green blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like something putrid.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, caramel seed pods.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
