Violet

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 423 feet (128.9 meters) and growing as high as 127 feet (38.7 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 4 years for the slate and lime green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1.1 feet (33 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The sickle shaped, fuzzy leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are violet and beige, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many large dull purple flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of small seed pods.
