Caramel Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small vine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 9 feet (2.7 meters) and growing as high as 222 feet (67.7 meters).

It takes 2 months for the lime green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are smooth and slick.

The broad, flat, soft leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are generally caramel, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces lots of large crimson flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large fruits.

It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
