Brown Heart Moss

This brown moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In heathlands.
It is giant, growing up to 11 inches (28 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores.
