Crimson Tide

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) tall. Its red stem is wispy and straight with a curved tip, and the giant, moss green leaves are asymmetrical with smooth edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Many small flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with beige petals on the lower layer and olive petals decorated with peach dots on the inner layer. The central disk is indigo. The flower head is shaped like a tube with 49 raised, round-tipped petals. They detach easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like rich perfume, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
