Pink Moss

This pink or light brown moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In heathlands, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly light; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
