Caramel Moss

This caramel and muted green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In marshes, On trees, and In damp forests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very hardy.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
