Speckled

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This colossal shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 158 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several flexible, curved stems covered in rough, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches trail down to the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of small, sickle shaped, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are yellow and peach, tough and crispy.

It produces hundreds of medium-sized, dull purple flowers with finger-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like rotten egg. In midwinter it forms giantgentle yellow aril (seeds with fleshy covers).


It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It can survive a long time without water.
