Aquamarine

This average-sized flower grows up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. Its red stems grow in bunches of 4 and are wispy with a curved tip, and the tiny, white or gentle yellow leaves are wide with serrated edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Each stem splits 6 to 12 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 25 cm (9.8 inches) wide, with petals that are aquamarine on the underside and yellow on the top. The flower head is made up of 23 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. They are very delicate.

It has a fairly strong scent that smells like fish, and it has excessive amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.
