Gray-green Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In marshes, and In bogs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is overwhelmingly sturdy; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
