Lime Moss

This lime and brown moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely resilient; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores.
