Crimson Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 30 feet (9.1 meters)0. It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 16 months for the olive or blue stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The very thin, clammy leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are solid crimson or blue, with yellow dots, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many clusters of large magenta flowers.
