Magenta Vine

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big flower grows up to 4.4 feet (1.3 meters) tall. Its lime green stem is very thin and splits into 9 branching stems at the top, and the giant, green leaves are spear shaped with ripped edges. 6 leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Lots of tiny flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 7 cm (2.8 inches) wide, with petals that are generally magenta; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of tightly layered round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like coffee, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to bees.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
