Turquoise

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 631 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, angular trunk covered in fine, silky, brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is burgundy.

The numerous branches are short stubs and are covered with small bunches of soft, large, spear shaped leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are turquoise and amber.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, slate, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
