Silverbell

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 119 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has numerous wide, wonky stems covered in thin, wrinkled, silver bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are short, thin and wispy with thousands of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of miniature, pleated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in cream and lilac varieties, rigid and covered in fine hairs.

It produces a handful of large, dark grey flowers with flame-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a strong scent that smells like vomit. In mid-summer it forms smallvivid purple aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
